Earth Day 2024 Celebration and Silent Auction
You are invited to a fun-filled and inspiring evening celebrating a month of keeping Oakland green through Earth Day events and honoring Keep Oakland Beautiful’s community grant awardees. Join us for an outdoor event featuring delicious food and drinks, music, a silent auction, and a moving program highlighting Oakland community members dedicated to beautifying their communities.
- On Saturday, May 4th from 5pm to 8pm at Humanist Hall (390 27th St, Oakland, CA 94612)
- Your ticket proceeds support Keep Oakland Beautiful and comes with food and drinks, entertainment, and light programming for the evening
- Hear from special guests including Environmental Justice Advocate/Oakland Council Member Dan Kalb and Associate Mayor of Oakland Kimberly Mayfield
- Weather permitting, the event will primarily be held outdoors.
Clean California K-12 Multimedia Contest
K-12 students are encouraged to create a poster, graphic, or :30 second video to educate Californians about litter prevention using the "Zero Litter is the Goal" campaign. Public, private, charter, and homeschools are all invited to participate, and the deadline has been extended to March 31st.

The website also has downloadable activities for a variety of ages and school subjects to accompany a campus or community cleanup, with instructions and safety information provided. There is an educator allowance application on the website as well that educators can apply for to help with program expenses.
