A Thank You to All Who Supported Daffodil Day.

Message from Alicia Johnson and Eric Saltmarsh:

The Keep Oakland Beautiful Board would like to thank all organizations and neighbors who participated in our annual Daffodil Day on Saturday November 15th.

Daffodil Day is one of our prized programs and we’re happy to report that, once again, we gave away all 4,000 of our daffodil bulbs, to be planted in public spaces around Oakland.

As volunteers, we get excited to have the opportunity to meet the people who take the time to get their hands dirty and plant those ubiquitous, yellow flowers that we love to see in early spring.

A representative from nearly every district picked up bulbs and we hope to get some ‘before and after’ pictures of their planting sites.

We’d also like to give a shout out to Laurel Ace Hardware for allowing us to use their space to distribute the bulbs and to two intrepid Oakland Girl Scouts who volunteered their time. Thank you so much for helping to make Daffodil Day possible and successful.
